The printing is 50% gray not black like older Schirmer books. That's just unacceptable in music printing. Only useful for fingering suggestions.
The book is difficult to keep open, but the notation and printing is of good quality.The package was stuffed into my mailbox, so when I received the new book, it was already slightly scuffed and bent.
Excellent book with easy to read music notes. Book is well put together and looks sturdy enough to last a long time, I would buy it again, Schirmer

My daughter really liked this version as it had more helpful markings than the version her teacher used. Definitely cannot go wrong with this version.
Fingering choices are bizarre.
This book has poor bindings that make it hard to keep open and read notes close to the ends of lines.
